Half-term and Queen’s Baton event

This week will be the last session for this half-term. There will be none on Tuesday May 27th and we start again on 3rd June.

The leisure centre management have asked us to tell you about the Queen’s Baton event on Saturday 31st May 2014, which they will be hosting. They have organised some pool activities in which they would like both swimming clubs to get involved.

The outline of activities is as below;

10.30am – 3.45pm Club use – Dane Valley and Congleton Amateurs to work with centre staff to run activates such as water sports, Swim workshops possible link to Olympic or top British swimmer?

11.00am – 12.00pm   – Swim clinic open to all members of the public

12:00noon – 1.30pm  – No swimming pool use, to give all the opportunity to see the Baton in the park

1.30pm – 2.15pm      – Water Polo game for DVASC+CASC members

2.30pm – 3.30pm      – Baton challenge – swimmers will relay the baton and gain points

3.45pm – 4.00pm      – Presentation pool side to wining countries.

4.00pm – 5.00pm        – Free family fun swim for all members of the public – restrictions on numbers will be in place
