End of summer term notes

To all swimmers and families

Thank you very much for continuing to support the Congleton Amateur Swimming Club.

Financially, we are now on a much better footing, since the introduction of the new way of paying, which means that we can be sure of continuing for a while to come.

Next Tuesday (22 July) is the last of the term and we will start back on 2 September. The dates when the club will not be operating are on the noticeboard.

You may like to know that we have been contacted with information about a large swimming event on 30 August at Grand Central Pools, Stockport. It involves getting together a team of four. If you want to know more the information is at http://www.swimbritain.co.uk/about.

One of our young male swimmers was unable to find one of his shoes at the end of a recent session. The changing rooms were searched and the leisure centre informed but it hasn’t turned up. This is a major expense for the family involved, so please would you check all swimming bags in case it has ended up in one by mistake.

There are lockers which can be used if you have concerns about personal property and the swimmer would need £1 to use it (refundable).

We have a collection of goggles in our box at our corridor reception table. Have you lost any?

As the earlier classes are pretty full, we will need to start a waiting list. If you are unable to come down to the pool for more than a couple of sessions, have not paid for the half-term and would like your place kept open, please let us know. This will make sure that there is space to come back and if you don’t want to come back, it frees up a space for a new swimmer.

We hope that everyone has a great summer and we look forward to seeing you in September.

With best wishes

Sue
