About Us

Congleton Amateur Swimming Club was founded in 1937 at the outdoor pool in Congleton.

In 1971, it moved into the newly-built Congleton Leisure Centre where it has been operating ever since.

We want to give children in the town and surrounding areas the opportunity to learn to swim so that they are safer and happy in the water. The club is non-competitive.  If a child or young person shows an interest in taking part in competitive swimming, he or she will be given information about other clubs which offer competitions.

The club is run by a voluntary management committee: chair; vice-chair, treasurer and secretary with additional volunteers teaching the swimmers and helping on the door.
